Sugarhold is a trading name of STARBAK LIMITED, a private limited company.

Customer service

There are two direct ways to reach a person. We are not a contact form only, and you will never be asked to raise a ticket before you can speak to us.

Seller of record

STARBAK LIMITED is the seller of record for every Sugarhold subscription. Your contract for the service is with STARBAK LIMITED, and it is STARBAK LIMITED that appears on your card or bank statement.

What kind of business this is

Sugarhold is a software subscription. It explains which functions sugar is performing in a recipe the user supplies, and how the finished bake changes when some of it is removed.

It is worth being precise about what that is not:

• It does not sell food. Nothing edible is sold, shipped or supplied.
• It gives no nutritional, dietary or health advice of any kind, and takes no position on whether reducing sugar is desirable.
• It makes no food safety or shelf-life judgement and must not be relied on for one.
• It produces no recipe and no quantities.
• It is not a regulated health, medical or food business and holds itself out as none of those things.

Regulatory position

We are established in the United Kingdom and we sell to consumers worldwide. Where UK consumer law applies, it applies in full, and nothing in our terms takes away rights you have under it.

Complaints are handled directly by us. We are not signed up to any alternative dispute resolution scheme, and there is no general requirement in the United Kingdom for us to name one. If we cannot settle a complaint between us, you are free to take the matter to court.
